Checking Apple Pencil Compatibility
When ordering an Apple Pencil to be used with an existing device, confirm the compatibility of the Apple Pencil with the iPad version. Current owners of an iPad may find that their device is not compatible with the newer Apple Pencil Pro. The Apple Pencil Gen 2 products are not compatible with newer iPads.
